A Time to Heal

The need for healing is as natural as the need to breathe. It is part of our answer to traumas we face and shoulder. Last year was a year many of us took blow after blow emotionally, physically and economically. These blows kept us in a virtual world of emergency. Adrenaline constantly coursing through us in an effort to keep us ready to take cover or run to safety or to brace ourselves for another shocking event. This sets our energetic balance off and leaves us vulnerable to emotional and physical illness.

Each day we breakdown our bodies with normal every day activities. The stress of living under a pandemic and social tensions erupting everywhere, adds extra wear and tear. Our physical bodies are in constant need of healing and repair. Our involuntary body systems ensure the body goes under repair at night when we rest. Our spiritual energetic bodies are also used everyday and need to be recalibrated, repaired and replenished. There is no involuntary system that automatically guides the healing process of our energetic bodies. We have to ensure that we initiate it. Energy healing is an ancient system that restores the balance and flow of energy throughout the etheric body, mind, and soul. The different modalities are used to treat various medical conditions, including ailments related to mental health.

Healing yourself energetically is healing the disturbance of the energy flow in and around the body. When your energy flow gets nurtured, balance returns and healing occurs. There are many energy healing modalities. A few are listed below.

Spiritual Energy Healers

What is an important part of energy healing, are the Healers who have trained and dedicated themselves to healing their communities with their skills and talents. They are extremely dedicated and devoted. Many times they work for free or on a sliding scale in order that their healing work can reach the underserved communities, people and families.

Sometimes all that is need is a healing presence. Most other times, healers use their spiritual abilities as well as their training to service those in need. They are silent warriors that are largely unknown to the public. They walk their walk in dedication to the Divine and Humanity with humility and love. I want to give special praise and recognition to those beautiful souls!

Eight Energy Healing Modalities

Crystal Healing

Stones and crystals are gifts from the earth that have been used for thousands of years in healing, ritual and spiritual practices. Crystals also draw out impurities from the physical body. There are innumerable stones and crystals. They each work differently on the body and target different kinds of physical, emotional and spiritual problems.

Spiritual Baths

A Spiritual Bath is an ancient old spiritual clearing and cleansing practice. Herbs, essential oils, and flowers are combined with water to create a bath to cleanse your energy bodies which can effect a physical healing.

Meditation is the practice of calming the mind and going within. This provides much needed mental rest. When the mind is at rest, the body engages in rest. Rest is essential to repairing. Repairing leads the way for rejuvenation.

Reiki Healing

The word Reiki is made from two Japanese words called- 'Rei' meaning "God’s wisdom" and Ki meaning “energy”. The Reiki healer uses 'ki' energy to effect a rebalancing of a person's energetic field. This involves movement techniques and specific symbols are used to invoke and call in the energy of the universe to heal the body. Reiki can help to cure ailments like cold, flu, head and stomach aches. It is also been known to heal serious illnesses such as heart disease.

Pranic Healing

Pranic healing is all about using the body’s life force to heal the body energy. This therapy works specifically on the energy of the body or aura of a person. In this therapy, energy is used to clean the toxins from the body, accelerating the healing physical process. This healing utilizes “life force,” “energy,” or prana to accelerate the body’s natural ability to heal itself. It is usually combined with traditional medicine. It is not intended to replace conventional medicine, but rather to complement it.

Quantum Healing

Quantum healing therapy is based on the principle of resonance and entertainment. The energy level in the body is escalated through breathing and visualization of energy flow. Quantum Healing is not only a spiritual thing, but it also directs positive effects on the immune system.

Qigong therapy is used to regain the lost balance of the body. With the history of some 4,000 years, Qigong is comprised of coordinated movements of the body along with breathing, and meditation to stimulates health and spirituality. The therapy has its root in Chinese medicine and is said to balance the positive energy of the body, which is required to stay healthy.

Chakra Healing

This modality focuses on 7 major energy centers in the body. Each energy center is responsible for managing the health of certain parts of the body, mind and emotions. Chakras periodically get blocked or out of balance. By unblocking and rebalancing it, restores health. When all of our chakras are open and balanced, energy can run through them freely, and harmony exists between the physical body, mind, and spirit. Chakra translates to "wheel" in Sanskrit.

Intuitive Energy Healing

Energy speaks very subtly. However, there are healers that have the ability to energetically identify out of balance areas using their intuition. They then apply the necessary energy recalibration and healing modalities to the affected areas causing illness.

Research and find reputable practitioners in your area. There are many other types of spiritual healing modalities. These are just a few. Healing spiritually in many ancient and indigenous cultures is thought of as essential to physical healing. It is believed all illnesses have a root in the human energetic spiritual bodies being out of balance and weakened.
